This partnership includes an investment in RetiSpec and marks a significant step forward in our shared mission to revolutionize 'Healthcare from the Eye' through early detection of neurodegenerative diseases, starting with #Alzheimer's disease. RetiSpec’s technology aims to help healthcare providers predict amyloid burden, a core biomarker of Alzheimer’s disease. Currently, the test is available for Research Use Only; once commercialized and integrated with Topcon Harmony, a device-inclusive and cloud-based clinical data management platform, it will enable early detection of Alzheimer’s disease and facilitate timely access to care.  This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our mission to bring cutting-edge AI diagnostics from the eye to the forefront of healthcare. 📢 Portfolio Highlights: RetiSpec was at SXSW 2024 to participate in the panel “Future Eye: 10 VIsion Trends That Will Transform Healthcare"! 🪟 RetiSpec’s CEO, Eliav Shaked 🇮🇱, was on-stage to speak on the topic “The Eye is the Window into Full-Body Health” with host Debbie Millman and fellow panelists Ruth Yomtoubian of VSP Global Innovation Center and Christen Yaffe of Meta. Eliav shared how advancements in AI have widened the range of detectable conditions from a patient’s eye exam, including signs of cardiovascular and kidney diseases, diabetes, neurological issues, and other disease states. In RetiSpec's case, they're using advanced AI to detect Alzheimer’s before symptoms even present through a hyperspectral retinal scan.
