The Logan Green Pathway in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, just got a glow-up! Over 2.2 kilometers of gravel trail has been upgraded into a smooth asphalt path lined with solar lights, making it easier for everyone to hit the road and enjoy the ride! And with today being #BikeToWorkDay, it’s the perfect excuse to enjoy the Logan Green Pathway’s picturesque route for commuters and leisurely walkers alike. It's a testament to the Government of Canada’s commitment to fostering healthier communities and reducing our carbon footprint. Le sentier vert Logan à Yorkton (Saskatchewan) fait peau neuve! Plus de 2,2 kilomètres de sentier en gravier ont été transformés en un sentier en asphalte lisse bordé de lampes solaires, ce qui permet à tous de circuler facilement et d’en profiter!   Et comme c’est la #JournéeVéloBoulot, c’est l’excuse parfaite pour profiter de la route panoramique qu’offre le sentier vert Logan et qui convient autant aux navetteurs qu’aux marcheurs occasionnels. Through support from the Government of Canada, the municipality of West Point in Prince Edward Island has implemented innovative shoreline protection structures. These structures, including a 120 meter sandstone-concrete seawall extension, 5 intertidal reefs, and a terminal sandstone structure at the southern tip of the beach, protect the shoreline from the effects of #ClimateChange and act as barriers between the sand dunes to help keep them intact.   The shoreline protection structures help accumulate natural sand, improving the shoreline’s ecosystem and encouraging the growth and stability of the sand dunes.
