Fabio Fava
Full Professor of Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology at the School of Engineering of the University of Bologna since 2005 and current Chair of the interdepartmental Center Healthy Planet of the same University, has over than 210 international peer-reviewed publications in the fields of Bioeconomy, in which he coordinated 2 European FP7 collaborative projects and other national projects. He is the Italian Representative in the Working Party on Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and Converging Technologies of the OECD (Paris) and the Italian Representative in various panels of the European Commission (Brussels), among others, the European Bioeconomy Policy Forum, the States Representatives Group of the Public Private Partnership "Circular BioBased Europe" (CBE JU), the EuroMed Group of Senior Officials of the "BLUEMED initiative". He is also senior expert in the programming committee of Cluster VI and of the Mission Soil Deal for Europe of Horizon Europe and in the frame of the WESTMED initiative. Finally, he is member of the Scientific Committee of the European Environmental Agency (EEA), Copenaghen, for the "Circular Economy and resource use" domain.
He is the Chair of the Scientific/Technical Committee of the annual international Exhibition "Ecomondo" (held in Rimini, Italy) since 2013.
