Today, we are proud to announce the appointment of two senior executives to the leadership team at Blue Shield of California. To help accelerate our ambitious plans to transform the healthcare system, we are welcoming Lois Quam as president and Susan Mullaney as executive vice president, Strategic Initiatives – both starting their new roles in August and reporting to CEO Paul Markovich. Both Lois and Susan bring extensive leadership experience and a passion for making our world a healthier place. The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento event brought together over 500 community #volunteers to work alongside residents to complete 20 critical home repair, property beautification, and #community projects over a single weekend in the underinvested #Sacramento neighborhood. #ClimbForACure! Cancer doesn't quit when it rains, and neither do we! Blue Shield CEO Paul Markovich joined hundreds of racers on a rainy Saturday to climb 2,000 steps at the San Francisco Giants Stadium as part of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Big Climb. The event raised over $175,000 to help cure #leukemia, #lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and #myeloma.
