Adult Tours

Each year, visitors of all ages and backgrounds visit the Tampa Museum of Art on docent-led tours to view current special exhibitions or to enjoy works of art from the museum’s permanent collection. Interested in experiencing the Tampa Museum of Art from the comfort of your own home? Book a virtual tour or virtual webinar for you and your group led by one of our educators or volunteer docents.

Docent-led and self-guided tours

Interested in visiting the Museum in-person with a group of 10 or more people? Schedule a private docent-led tour of one or more of our current exhibitions. Tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance and can include a specific exhibition or a tour of all galleries. Tours last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of your tour to check-in.

Not interested in a guided tour? Explore the galleries at your own pace on a self-guided tour. All scheduled tours receive 10% off at the Museum store.

Virtual Tours for Private Groups

One of the Museum’s trained docents will take your group 20 or less on a 30-45 minute virtual tour of the exhibition(s) of your choice, enriching your understanding and experience of the art on view. Virtual Tours are offered through Zoom Meeting and cannot be recorded unless permission is granted and prearranged with the museum. After completing the digital tour request form, an educator will be in touch with you to coordinate the details and format of your virtual tour.

Maximum: 20 screens

Cost per screen:

  • Art+ Members: $10
  • Not-yet-members: $15

Reciprocal admissions from other institutions are not accepted for Virtual Tour registration. All participants in virtual tours will receive a 10% discount for their next visit to the Museum Store. After making payment, group leaders will receive a private registration link to share with their group members. All tour participants can ask questions and participate in conversations through video, microphone, and the Zoom chat function. Video, audio, and microphone capabilities are required for the full experience.

Virtual Webinars for Private Groups

Interested in booking a program for a group of 20 or more participants? One of the Museum’s trained educators will take your group on a 30-45 minute virtual lecture of the exhibition(s) of your choice, enriching your understanding and experience of the art on view. Virtual Webinars are offered through Zoom and cannot be recorded unless permission is granted and prearranged with the museum. After completing the digital tour request form, an educator will be in touch with you to coordinate the details and format of your virtual tour. Video and audio capabilities are required for the full experience.

Group cost for groups of 50 or fewer: $50

Group cost for groups larger than 50 screens: $75

After making payment, group leaders will receive a private registration link to share with their group members. Webinar participants can ask questions via the Q&A and Chat. Webinar participants will not be invited to unmute themselves and speak. Video and audio capabilities are required for the full experience.
