💡 What does early access to mass spectrometry have to do with employability? Victoria Starkie explains how Waters Corporation teamed up with the University of Surrey to offer students hands-on training as part of their undergraduate programs with atmospheric solids analysis probe mass spectrometry (ASAP-MS). ASAP-MS is a low-cost, benchtop instrument that is now part of the university’s undergraduate teaching laboratory and is helping to make students more industry-ready - and therefore more employable. The collaboration aims to make the educational material available to a broader community, making it simpler for other academic institutions to adopt similar programs.
