Fastest time to sort 500g of Peanut M&M's

  • M&M’s with dragees in a minimum of 6 different colours must be used for the attempt.
  • Suitable evidence should be submitted, clearly showing that the M&M'S used for the attempt are of the Peanut variety. No other M&M varieties are permittable for this attempt.
  • The M&M's used for the attempt must be weighed to 500g (17.64 oz) in the presence of the witnesses. Video evidence and witness statements must support this.
  • The contents of the packages must be placed in a bowl.
  • There must be 6 other empty containers to place the different coloured dragees into. Each separate bowl represents 6 colours. Each of the 6 empty bowls must be labelled with the corresponding colour prior to the attempt.
  • At the end of the attempt, each designated bowl must contain only the correctly coloured M&M's that were labelled prior to the attempt. If one or more M&M's are in the wrongly designated bowl at the end of the attempt, the attempt will be disqualified.

  • The claimant must announce before the attempt which hand they are going to use, this hand must be the only hand used to sort the M&M's throughout the attempt. The change of hands during the attempt is not permitted. If the other hand is used at any point, the attempt will be disqualified.
  • Once the time starts, the claimant may start sorting the M&M’s with the selected hand into the different bowls.
  • The time stops when the contestant raises his or her hand and says stop.
  • Video evidence must clearly show the contents of each of the 6 labelled bowls at the end of the attempt.
  • Slow-motion footage of the attempt must be submitted with the claim.
  • All efforts must be made to limit food wastage. Following the record attempt, all food must be consumed by humans, it is the responsibility of the individuals participating that the food is hygienically safe and edible throughout the entirety of the attempt.

Most socks put on one foot in 30 seconds

  • The participant must begin the attempt with one sock already on the foot; but this will not be counted towards the final tally.
  • The participant must put the socks on individually and with no help from other people.
  • Once the 30 seconds are up, only socks that are completely on the foot may be counted towards the record. Therefore all socks must be pulled up past the ankle joint. This must be clear from the evidence provided.
  • All socks used must be commercially available as wearable socks (non-standard socks such as Christmas stockings, etc are not acceptable). Proof of this must be submitted as evidence.
  • Various sizes of socks are allowed to compensate for the increased size of the foot as more socks are added.
  • Any sock that tears while being put on the foot will be discounted from the final total.
