The adult size RealShield is ANSI Z-87.1-2020 certified for eye and face protection and is ANSI Z-87.1-2020 (D3) certified for eye and face splash protection.
The ANSI standards are what Federal OSHA refers to as the criteria for determining face shield acceptability.
The 87.1 is the general standard and the D3 is an additional standard that needs to be met for droplet or splash protection. Both of these OSHA requirements are typically referenced in the COVID guidelines by state and the CDC.
