How it works

IMPORTANT! Effective March 1, 2024, shipments received in this program will no longer earn TerraCycle Recycling Rewards points. We recommend that you send your next shipment by February 15, 2024 to earn Recycling Rewards points.

We’ve made getting started with the Stanley Black & Decker Tool Free Recycling Program easy! Simply download a free shipping label to ship your DEWALT®, CRAFTSMAN®, BLACK+DECKER®, STANLEY®, IRWIN®, LENOX®, MAC Tools®, PORTER-CABLE® and Bostitch® branded tools to TerraCycle, and we’ll recycle them. Enrollment limits apply. If the program is full, you will be added to a waitlist.

Important notes

This program does not collect lithium-ion batteries. If your item contains a removable battery, please use Call2Recycle to find a drop-off location near you.

If your item contains a non-removable lithium-ion battery, please use the Stanley Black & Decker Lithium-ion Battery Free Recycling Program.

This program does not accept outdoor power equipment. Please package tools with sharp edges such as saws in bubble wrap or cardboard and seal with tape to ensure sharp edges are safely covered.

Create a TerraCycle account and join this program. Then reuse any box you have to start collecting your Stanley Black & Decker Tools.

Print Free Label

When your box is full, sign-in to your TerraCycle account to download and print a prepaid shipping label.

Ship

Seal your box, affix the prepaid shipping label, and send it to us to be recycled.

We encourage you to ship when your box is full of DEWALT®, CRAFTSMAN®, BLACK+DECKER®, STANLEY®, IRWIN®, LENOX®, MAC Tools®, PORTER-CABLE® and Bostitch® tools. to minimize the transportation carbon footprint for this program. UPS will not accept dripping packages, so please make sure your items are dry.

No, you do not need to clean the products before sending them in, but please remove as much debris as possible before shipping.
