WE'RE ON A MISSION TO SEEK AND SHARE THE TRUTH IN ENERGY.
If we're going to save the world, we need to start by saving the conversation.
Veriten is a research, investing, and strategy firm that draws from its energy-focused network and knowledge platform bringing diverse perspectives to the long-term energy discussion, helping our industry partners and investors improve strategic decision-making. Additionally, we leverage our research and strategy work and apply that analysis to NexTen fund’s investment strategy. Independent and employee-owned, we are committed to truth in energy, strength through partnership, rigorous analysis and research, and intellectual honesty. Through our public content, we aim to educate, inform and collaborate with energy producers, energy consumers, academics, politicians, policymakers, and other open-minded individuals and organizations.
We are engaging with great thinkers globally.
Like a rolling conference for the energy industry, Close of Business Tuesday (COBT) is a weekly one-hour program featuring honest, insightful conversations with thought leaders on the leading energy policy, geopolitical, regulatory, and financial questions of the day. New episodes are released every Wednesday at 6:00 AM CT.
We partner with corporates and investors to evaluate and invest in the future of energy.
A central topic for all of our analysis is “what will the energy world look like in ten years?” While ten years is long-term, it is still a practical planning horizon. The timeframe is one where many of the current corporate leaders will be accountable for those decisions and results. However, ten years is a short enough timeframe that planning must begin soon to accomplish the objectives. The long-term energy outlook is one with countless variables including identifying the opportunities and challenges associated with societal ambitions, government policies, engineering and physical realities, and geopolitics as well as the impact of new technologies, capital flows, and, importantly, financial returns. We believe that in continually analyzing the range of rolling ten-year scenarios, we can make our own capital allocation, and that of our partners, much better. We work with partner companies to research, debate, and strategize around these complex issues to address the needs of their specific organizations. We are also evaluating technologies and innovations to invest capital in the solutions we believe in through our NexTen fund.
