Abaqus announces new Calendar-Based Scheduling & Intelligent Job Assignment for Enterprise customers

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 23, 2024

New core product functionality to further improve field workforce productivity

Abaqus, a leading Field Service Automation platform, announced today that it has added Automated Calendar-based Scheduling & Intelligent Job Assignment as core functionality to its allGeo platform to boost productivity and customer satisfaction for field service companies managing a large mobile workforce. With this capability, the allGeo platform can be deployed on the complete field service workflow that includes 3 key pillars - Scheduling & Dispatch, Monitoring & Management, and Reporting & Measurement, making it possible for employees to work-from-anywhere.

Field service workers live by their calendars in order to see as many customers and prospects as possible in the shortest amount of time. With Calendar-Based Scheduling & Conditional Assignment, allGeo customers can manage patient visits, sales calls, facilities inspections, work order assignments, and deliveries with ease. The focus for this release is to utilize the scheduling dashboard as the focal point for planning and work order assignments so that businesses can spend more time delivering excellent experiences to their customers and less time driving, clicking, and typing.

“As we’ve expanded from a point solution into a field service automation platform, our customers have been asking for more automation in their workflow, specifically in the area of Scheduling and Task assignments to workers based on dynamic conditions in the field, a highly complex process and a huge pain point” said Shailendra Jain, CEO of Abaqus. “With this added capability, our customers can now use the allGeo platform to schedule their workers & assign them based on many interrelated parameters such as skills, workload, distance from jobsite and priority, all in real-time. These enhancements will help companies better streamline their field operations & satisfy their customers needs”.

Advanced Scheduling & Assignment capabilities
The May 2020 allGeo release is now available and includes:

  • A dynamic jobs assignment process where workers are given their schedules in real-time, based on their location, workload and job details. For example, a worker who has just finished with one job might be routed to the nearest job based on the priority, urgency and skills to perform that job. All of this is handled automatically by the allGeo platform including exception alerts in case of missed appointments and arrival notices to the site customers.
  • A calendar based scheduling system where workers schedules can be seen in one composite view and new scheduling assignments can be made. The schedules can also be imported into the system from a third party calendar such as Outlook.
  • Schedules will appear on each workers mobile app in real-time which enables workers to get the latest information in the field, helping them avoid conflicts and be at the right job site at the right time.
  • For customers with legacy scheduling platforms, the allGeo platform integrates with their de facto systems and processes.
