10x more coupons? Which coupon browser tool is best?

Tired of expired coupon codes? So were we. That’s why we created SimplyCodes to tap into the power of community to deliver the best coupon experience.

Why did we create SimplyCodes?

In a nutshell, we couldn’t find a coupon tool that actually worked. That is, a tool that reliably gave us all the working coupons for any given store, at any give time.

We knew the only way to achieve this was to tap into the power of our awesome community of shoppers. So we created SimplyCodes — designed from the ground up to be a social, community-centered, crowdsourced experience for finding and sharing coupons.

And we’re super excited about how far we’ve come. With thousands of community members sharing and editing over 100K coupons per day, we’ve become (by far) the leading coupon site in terms of coupon coverage and accuracy.

Putting SimplyCodes coupons to the test: SimplyCodes vs Honey vs RetailMeNot

Of course, you can’t just take our word for it. So we partnered with the reputable product testing and market research team over at Testbirds to conduct a study comparing our coupons to some of our top competitors.

Testbirds selected a random sample of 500 e-commerce sites and ran a team of testers who manually tested coupon codes listed across SimplyCodes, Honey, and RetailMeNot. The results were clear: of the 500 randomly selected stores, SimplyCodes had a working code (at the time of the test) for 334 of them, while Honey had 138 and RetailMeNot 118. SimplyCodes had more working coupon codes per store as well, with 1.74 working codes on average across all 500 stores, compared to 0.66 for Honey and 0.56 for RetailMeNot.

But this only tells part of the story. To keep things apples-to-apples, Testbirds focused their study on more popular stores, the type that our competitors are more likely to cover.

The best-kept secret about SimplyCodes is we cover ALL stores, even the smaller stores: the mom and pop shops, the newer brands you see on Instagram, even local stores — our mission is to have coupons for literally every e-commerce site under the sun, so you never run into a store where our community is not already searching for codes for that store.

In other words, our mission is to achieve this very simple goal: if a working code exists for any given store, we’ll have it on SimplyCodes.

Factoring our much broader coverage and combining this with Testbirds’ findings, the results prove even more definitive: SimplyCodes has a coverage universe roughly 10x that of the most popular coupon sites, and between 15x to 25x the number of working coupon codes at any given time.

Looking at the data, it’s not even a close comparison. SimplyCodes brings something fundamentally new in the coupon space. Demonstrating the power of community, we’re offering an entirely new way to shop with coupons. A tool that you can actually rely on to always deliver you the working codes when they’re available. A community that rewards you for contributing to our shared mission of creating the world’s best coupon experience.

To be conservative, we’ll just say SimplyCodes has 10x more working coupons than any other coupon tool. You’re 10x more likely to save if you use SimplyCodes. Think about that. If you care about coupons, why would you use any other coupon tool?

10x more coupons: What does it mean when shopping?

How many times have you landed on the checkout page, with a cart full of items, only to be disappointed that you can’t find a valid discount code to fill in that tantalizing coupon code box?

Teva coupons

Let’s take the footwear brand Teva as an example. At the time of writing, both Honey and RetailMeNot offered zero working coupons for Teva. Instead of coupons, they promote their cash back programs, which are great, but not as great as a working coupon.

On SimplyCodes, we have two working codes, one for 15% and one for 10% off. Plus, we offer our universal rewards system where you earn tokens for every purchase you make.

Herman Miller coupons

Herman Miller sells high end furniture at relatively high prices, so a working code can save you a bundle. At the time of writing, Honey and RetailMeNot not only offered zero coupons, they don’t even offer cash back.

SimplyCodes, on the other hand, has 10% off and 25% off store-wide codes, plus we offer token rewards (our universal cash back system) on every single checkout, including for Herman Miller.

Thinx discounts

Thinx is a popular feminine underwear brand. Again, Honey and RetailMeNot don’t offer any coupons or rewards at Thinx at the time of writing. SimplyCodes offers a range of $10 off and 10% off codes, plus checkout rewards.

Wait: SimplyCodes has not just more coupons, but better coupons

50% off is better than 20% off. The higher the discount, the more we save.

Well, SimplyCodes not only has more coupon codes, we have higher discounts on average than competing coupon tools.

According to the Testbirds’ study, when both SimplyCodes and either Honey or RetailMeNot offered a working coupon code, SimplyCodes on average had a 30% higher discount than the competing site. So, if Honey had 20% off as their highest discount, SimplyCodes would often have a 30% off code.

But there’s more: SimplyCodes also pays rewards, but for every checkout. No limitations. No exceptions. No fine print.

With SimplyCodes, you earn rewards at every one of the 370,000 (and growing) stores that we cover. That’s roughly 10x more stores than typically cash-back programs. No fine print. Just hit the “Get tokens for this purchase” button and voila, you’re earning rewards for that checkout.

How do we do this? While other coupon tools limit their cashback rewards to stores they partner with, at SimplyCodes, we’re on a mission simply to make shopping easier, more rewarding, with the most savings for you. We’re focused on you as the customer — we believe that by simply delivering the best shopping experience, our project will grow and our partners will benefit as a result.
