Starting in June, Turkish Airlines will offer nonstop flights between Denver and Istanbul. The 13 hour flight will be the longest flight offered from DIA, bringing the number of airlines at DIA to 26.

It’s funded from both private and public sources, including 2.75 percent of the lodger's tax in the City and County of Denver. In 2019, Denver broke tourism records with 17.7 million overnight visitors and 31.4 million total visitors, according to Longwoods International. The study, commissioned by VISIT DENVER, found that metro Denver visitors spent $7 billion, while supporting 64,000 jobs. Denver sets itself apart. It’s an outdoor city filled with urban adventure, 300 days of sunshine, a walkable downtown, chef-driven dining, thriving arts & culture and diverse neighborhoods, not to mention its status as the top craft beer city in the nation. The 24th Annual Denver & Colorado Tourism Hall of Fame Dinner was hosted on March 6, 2024 and was one of the first events in the Colorado Convention Center’s new Bluebird Ballroom! The event honored top leaders in Denver’s second-largest industry. Congratulations to the 2024 Tourism Hall of Fame inductees! Thank you to Frank Day, Founder of Concept Restaurants; Bill Mosher, CEO of the Denver Convention Center Hotel Authority; Wilma Webb, Colorado State Representative and First Lady of Denver; and Steve Sander, Denver Marketing Legend (Posthumous) for your contributions to Denver tourism. Five Tourism Stars were also awarded to organizations who had a significant impact on the Denver tourism industry in 2023. Congratulations to British Airways, Colorado Tourism Office, Denver Art Museum, Denver Museum of Nature & Science and Denver Nuggets. The dinner was also a fundraiser for the VISIT DENVER Foundation, which in its history has awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarships to 535 Colorado students pursuing careers in the fields of hospitality and tourism.
