Supporting the public health response to the pandemic

USP is focused on building the public’s trust in COVID-19 vaccines, treatments and preventatives. Our work includes standards that help ensure the quality and safety of drug ingredients and finished products. We also offer technical assistance and support on issues such as vaccine administration and raw material selection and testing. In collaboration with public health organizations, pharmacopeias, manufacturers and regulators, USP is addressing supply-chain challenges and emerging quality and safety concerns with medicines caused by the surge of substandard and falsified health products used to treat and help prevent COVID-19.
