With one of the broadest selections of electrified utility vehicles in America, Kia America’s efforts to inform and inspire consumers about the ease and advantages of hybrid and EV ownership continue at this week’s Electrify Expo Phoenix at State Farm Stadium. The flagship Kia EV9 – which recently achieved a remarkable dual victory at the 2024 World Car Awards by being named both World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle – will be on hand as will a full array of Kia’s hybrid and all-electric models, including: the all-electric Niro CUV, the 576-horsepower EV6 GT, plug-in hybrid variants of the popular the Sportage and Sorento SUVs, and the all-new upcoming Carnival hybrid which made its North American debut last month.

Continuing its push toward sustainable mobility leadership, the all-new EV9 delivered its best sales performance to date in April and Kia America shattered its all-time monthly EV sales record, increasing 61-percent over the previous record set in April 2022 total. Kia sold 65,754 units in April, with SUVs accounting for 81-percent of the mix.

Fueling the excitement of Kia’s partnership with the NBA, Kia proudly announces a new realm of self-expression through its Digital Features and Services platform , tailored specifically with NBA basketball fans in mind. Kia will begin rolling out the over-the-air updates for Display Themes to EV9 beginning April 8 and ahead of the playoffs starting April 20, owners of the 2024 Kia EV9 can personalize the vehicle’s driver-facing 12.3-inch instrument cluster with the distinctive colors and logos representing each of the NBA’s 30 iconic teams. In the future, other Kia vehicles equipped with the ultramodern Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) infotainment system with Digital Features and Services OTA capability are expected to also be able to access the NBA themes.
