Unironically, the mobile game I've had the most investment in. I adore the sprites and the gameplay is a nice mix of Brave Frontier and a classic FF JRPG. My favorite mobile game by a mile. Nothing scratches the itch quite like it. I wish and hope it could last for a long while. New players should find plenty to do from the story to trial content. Plenty is long powercrept, but plenty to give you a challenge. Present concerns are just a lack of content for the longtime players.

I eventually made my way to this app following the shutdown of Record Keeper's English server. It's not quite the same, nor does it hook me as well as RK was able to, but it's still pretty solid, even if it's harder to get the characters I actually want. My biggest issue, though, is the filesize, which is needlessly huge once everything else is installed (probably due to those CGI cutscenes). Also, the whole friend request thing is useless unless you go online.

Not particularly exceptional amongst mobile games, but it definitely gives you a full-blown, classic Final Fantasy combat system with various spells, skills, limit breaks, and equipment pieces to use. The art style for original, pre-SNES, and post-SNES characters, as well as the environments and espers, is rather nice. I just wish there was some more representation, but it's possible the characters I want, like Layle, either appeared in an event or are problematic to implement.
