About NCCN Imaging AUC™

NCCN Imaging Appropriate Use Criteria (NCCN Imaging AUC™) includes a full complement of imaging AUC in oncology care designed to support clinical decision-making, based directly on the NCCN Guidelines.

NCCN Imaging AUC™ are available free of charge to registered users of NCCN.org.

Imaging procedures recommended in the NCCN Guidelines® and included within NCCN Imaging AUC™:

  • Radiographs
  • Computed tomography (CT) scans
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Functional nuclear medicine imaging (PET, SPECT)
  • Ultrasound
  • Other imaging studies or modalities as clinically indicated

NCCN Imaging AUC™ are accessible through a subscription-based searchable user interface. NCCN is recognized by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as a qualified provider-led entity for creation of the NCCN Imaging AUC™.

The Imaging AUC are reviewed on a continual basis to ensure that the recommendations are based upon the most current evidence.
