Learn More‘Make Your Move’ Online Homebuyer Education
Make Your Move…A Guide to Homeownership© is an online homebuyer education course for prospective homebuyers. This eight-hour course is a requirement to qualify for down-payment assistance programs* such as Home in 5, HOME Plus, Pathways to Purchase and Home Ready.
Make Your Move is available online 24/7 and covers:
- Pros and cons of renting vs. buying
- Budgeting and credit
- Your homebuying team: Realtor, lender, home inspector, etc.
- Pre-approval vs. pre-qualification for a home loan
- Finding the right lender
- Housing affordability and sustainability
- Closing process and loan costs
- Loan types
- Home search and inspection
- Foreclosure prevention
- Home maintenance, improvement and repair
Cost is $100. You must pass with a minimum 70% score to receive the certificate.

Pre-Purchase Housing Counseling
