The GOP tax bill is making its way through the Senate, and potentially through the House.

But a progressive coalition, the “Not One Penny” campaign, is launching a new ad to build opposition to any Republican tax reform plan that lowers rates on corporations and the one percent.

The ad highlights how the GOP plan could hurt northern Virginians especially, saying it raises taxes on the middle class, and gives a break to millionaires.

It especially targets representative Barbara Comstock for voting in favor of the bill.

“We want northern Virginians to know how Barbara Comstock voted — that she voted against their interest, and that they should hold her accountable. They should call her office and make their voices heard because this is not over. The fight over the GOP tax plan is going to continue,” said Tim Hogan, the not one penny spokesperson.

According to recent analysis by the tax policy center, more than 87 million middle-class families will see tax increases under the GOP plan.
