Career Results

OVERALL
Finished his two-year career as a national champion, four-time All-American, five-time GLVC champion, 11-time All-Midwest Region honoree and eight-time All-GLVC award winner.

2017-18
CROSS COUNTRY: Earned All-Midwest Region, All-GLVC and Academic All-GLVC laurels after racing in five meets...finished second at the GLVC Championships, seventh at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships and 87th at the NCAA II National Championships...was USI's top finisher at the regional meet as well as the Conference Crossover and was USI's No. 2 finish at the GLVC Championships as well as the national meet...also was USI's No. 5 finisher at the Covered Bridge Open...earned GLVC Runner of the Week honors following his 12th-place finish at the Conference Crossover. INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Collected All-Midwest Region honors in the mile as well as a pair of second-team All-GLVC honors after finishing second in the mile and distance medley relay at the GLVC Championships...also was 19th in the 800 meters at the league meet...finished 14th in the mile at the NCAA II Championships...was USI's top performer in the mile and 3,000 meters, posting NCAA II provisional qualifying times in both events...won the mile at the Arkansas Qualifier...was twice named GLVC Track Athlete of the Week. OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Garnered second-team All-America honors after finishing ninth in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA II Championships...earned All-Midwest Region and first-team All-GLVC awards in the 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters after winning both events at the GLVC Championships...also posted first-place finishes in the 800 meters and the 1,500 meters at the KWC Invitational...collected Academic All-GLVC honors.

CROSS COUNTRY:
Earned All-GLVC and All-Region accolades competing in six meets as a junior…placed second at the GLVC Championships and 23rd at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships…top runner for the Eagles in three meets…an injury kept the junior from finishing the NCAA II Championships...also earned Academic All-GLVC honors. INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Won the NCAA II National Championship in the mile…earned All-America honors in the mile and distance medley relay after placing fourth at the NCAA II Championships with the DMR team…earned All-Region honors in the Mile, 3,000-meters, and DMR…First Team All-GLVC in the mile and DMR with victories in both at the GLVC Championships…picked up an NCAA automatic qualifying time in the 5,000-meters at the Stanford Invitational…had provisional times in the mile, 3,000-metes, and as a part of the DMR…earned two victories in the mile and one in the 800-meters during his junior season. OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Qualified for the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships in the 1,500-meters and the 5,000-meters…earned first-team All-America honors in the 1,500-meters after an eighth-place finish at the NCAA II Championships…finished 15th in the 5,000-meters at the national meet with a time of 14:41.95…also moved into second in USI history with a time of 3:45.14 in the 1,500-meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational which earned Grau an NCAA II automatic qualifying time…earned another automatic time in the 5,000-meters finishing in 13:57.56 at the Stanford Invitational, moving him to fourth all-time at USI in the event…picked up an NCAA II provisional in his lone appearances in the 800-meters finishing in 1:51.98, good enough for second in USI history…Grau earned all-region awards in all three events he competed in, while also picking up an Academic All-GLVC nod.

Transferred from the Universitat Bayreuth in Bavaria, Germany, where he earned a degree in Sports Economics.
