USI to host fourth annual Celebration of Engagement
February 19, 2018
The University of Southern Indiana will host its fourth annual Celebration of Engagement from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 27 in the Griffin Center. The event will feature talks by University officials and a panel providing USI faculty, staff and the community with experiences related to customized training, applied research, economic development, entrepreneurship and technology commercialization.
The Celebration of Engagement is free and open to the public and will highlight the University's rich history of community engagement. USI has twice been designated a Carnegie Foundation Community Engaged University.
"For community members, this is a great opportunity to network with our team, as well as relevant faculty and staff from USI," said Dr. Mark C. Bernhard, associate provost for Outreach and Engagement. "The opportunity goes both ways as it is mutually beneficial for faculty, staff and the Outreach and Engagement team to learn from our community members. This type of relationship/partnership is really what engagement is all about."
Guests are encouraged to stay for an interactive engagement fair and reception in the Griffin Center Great Room. Included in the engagement fair will be networking, refreshments and the opportunity to learn more about how to engage with USI.
