Tell MS legislators to vote for heartbeat bill

Thursday, February 07, 2019 @ 04:07 PM Tell MS legislators to vote for heartbeat bill
Contact your MS Senator and House Representative, and urge them to pass the heartbeat bill.

Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves (R-MS) and Speaker Philip Gunn (R-MS) are aggressively working on pro-life legislation to defend our state from falling victim to the vile chicanery of pro-abortion advocates in other states.

NY, VA, and RI have recently pushed to remove restrictions on abortion to take the godless act even further.

  • Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) recently signed a law allowing abortions up to live birth.
  • Ralph Northam (D-VA) recently made comments indicating he supports infanticide or the murder of a newborn baby.
  • Gina Raimondo (D-RI) recently pushed for a bill to allow abortions until live birth. In all, over 20 states in the nation allow abortion of full term babies.

MS Pro-life legislators are fighting back!

Sen. Angela Hill (R-Picayune) introduced a bill banning abortion after a baby's heartbeat is detected. The bill (SB2116) passed out of committee yesterday. It now heads to the Senate floor where the bill will be debated and voted on. Sen. Hill discussed the heartbeat bill on AFR's Focal Point with host Bryan Fischer. Listen here.

Contact your MS Senator and House Representative, and urge them to pass the heartbeat bill. Take action, now.

Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves (R-MS), who leads the MS Senate, was interviewed about the bill by AFA President Tim Wildmon on Today's Issues on American Family Radio (AFR). Listen to the interview here.

The House of Representatives, under the leadership of Rep. Philip Gunn (R-MS), is also considering a very similar heartbeat bill, HB732, introduced by Rep. Chris Brown (R-MS). This bill, too, has passed out of committee for floor debate and vote.

A baby's heartbeat can be detected at six weeks of pregnancy according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) website. ACOG further indicates that in the sixth to eighth week of pregnancy, all major organs have started to develop, as well as the baby's eyes, ears and nose. Even Planned Parenthood recognizes theses same scientific facts.
