ICYMI: AFP-SD State Director Talks Activism and Trade on KSOO

Aug 21, 2018 by AFP

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – In case you missed it, Americans for Prosperity-South Dakota (AFP-SD) State Director Don Haggar was recently interviewed on KSOO Radio with Beth Warden. They discussed the nearly 7,000 Americans for Prosperity activists engaged around the state, the impacts of tariffs on South Dakotans, and highlighted AFP-SD’s upcoming featured event “Trade War Hits Home: Tariff’s Impact on South Dakota.”

“Americans for Prosperity is a great organization, I’m happy to be part of it. What we advocate for is for a free and open society… We look for barriers that prevent people from achieving things, goals that might be part of their American dream. Now, unfortunately, typically those barriers are governmental,” said AFP-SD State Director Don Haggar. “One of the biggest obstacles or barriers to people achieving their American dream is taxes, and guess what? Tariffs are actually a tax,” Haggar added.
