AFP-WI Lauds Walker Plan to Grow Workforce and Reform Criminal Justice System

Oct 11, 2018 by AFP

MADISON, Wis. – Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin (AFP-WI) on Thursday lauded Gov. Walker and Lt. Gov. Kleefisch’s new workforce training investment as a proposal that could grow Wisconsin’s workforce, increase safety, and expand opportunities for people who want second chances.

AFP-WI State Director Eric Bott issued the following statement:

“We thank Gov. Walker and Lt. Gov. Kleefisch for addressing critical criminal justice reform priorities. By helping people leave prison as contributing members of society, we can improve public safety, save taxpayer money, reduce recidivism, and help people improve their lives. The proposal would also help address our workforce shortage and keep Wisconsin’s economy growing. Wisconsin should be a place where people who want second chances, get them. We look forward to seeing the details of this proposal and working with the administration to advance this and other much-needed criminal justice reforms.”
